Itinerary:
Welcome to the annual En Plein Air weekend at Baker Lodge, in the Mt. Baker ski area in Washington State. We'll meet at noon on Fri Sept 22 at Artists Point, and enjoy three days of hiking, drawing and painting. The scenery is spectacular with views of alpine meadows, brooks, lakes and ridgelines. Also Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan. The accommodation at Baker Lodge is rustic but comfortable. All meals are included except lunch on the first day. (The cooks are good at accommodating any food allergies.)

Required Items to Bring:
Passport for USA border. Sleeping bag and pillow, headlamp, towel, toiletries. Hiking boots and gear for rain or sun, incl water bottle, sunscreen and sunhat. Hut clothes and shoes. Headlamp. Lunch for Friday Sept 22.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Art gear: pens, pencils, sketchbook, watercolour or acrylics, folding stool, all light-weight for carrying. Camera. Easel. Reference material for painting inside.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take Hwy 401 east, take Sumas exit to cross border, follow signs to Mt. Baker ski area. Parking for the lodge is on the right-hand side of the road, just past Picture Lake. Artists Point is at the very end of the Mt. Baker Hwy. Parking pass is required and can be bought at a vending machine.

Notes:
- Registration is not complete until you've signed up and, if required, paid in full to the Alpine Club of Canada Vancouver Section, either through PayPal, or sent to the Event Leader.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.

Member Cost:$125.00/Person
Non-Member Cost:$150.00/Person
Cost Includes:Cost includes Fri and Sat accommodation at Baker Lodge, plus all meals (except lunch on the 22nd). The Mountaineers require that we pay the full amount well prior to the event. Mail a cheque (made out to the ‘ACC-Vancouver Section’) to Lynn Erickson (2995 W. 34th Ave, Vanc. BC V6N2J9), or contact her for other arrangements.
