Itinerary:
We will go to the heliotrope ridge trailhead and hike up to the seracs. Event is weather dependent, so if the forecast deteriorates the event may get cancelled at the last moment. Participants should be able to belay safely and have crampons and ice axes, and some experience using them. Poles are also handy for the stream crossings. Note: a parking pass ($5/1 day) is required at the trailhead.

Required Items to Bring:
Passport, crampons, ice tools (at least 1 set per two participants, mountaineering axe if you're not bringing ice tools personally!), helmet, harness, belay device, warm clothing, headlamp, etc.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Ice screws and draws (if you want to lead), personal anchors, eye protection, spare gloves, rain jacket, warm clothing.
