2 day ski trip to the highpoint of the sprawling Mamquam Icefield massif in southern Garibaldi Provincial Park. This is a trip for relatively fast and experienced backcountry skiiers.

Day 1: We will drive to the end of Skookum dam road and make our way across Paranoid Cr. to Darling Lk. (10km 800m)

Day 2: We will have an early start and climb NE through the so-called West bowl area to gain the icefield. From here it is an easy crossover on the glacier following on to the north side of Mamquam. (5km 900m).

This is a trip for intermediate and advanced BC skiers only. You should be able to ski black runs under any type of conditions and have good fitness to maintain a steady pace the whole trip, as well as have experience with ski- camping and glacier travel.
