Itinerary:

Being first on the waitlist does not guarantee you a spot.

I can take 3 passenger in my car. Another AWD vehicle is needed for 6 people to go on this trip

All participants are expected to have:

1) AST1 equivalent or better;

2) Prior touring experience;

3) Adequate fitness to carry an overnight pack;

4) Strong technical ski ability to ski double-black runs under any conditions; and

5) A willingness to share equipment, including tents, to lighten the load for the group.

It is highly beneficial but not required to have:

1) Winter camping experience.

2) Crevasse rescue training if we choose to ski the north glacier

Itinerary:

Day 1: Drive as far as possible up the logging roads (deactivated). Hike bush- wack and skin to the lakes below the south face. Make camp around 1500m to 1600m.

Day 2: Wake earlyish and skin 800m to the summit. Conditions dependant, ski a lap on the north glacier. Ski the south face back to camp. Ski and hike out.

Participants will be screened. If we have not skied together recently, or at all, please send an email to me describing your general fitness, touring experience and ski ability (the little box on the ACC website may not be enough).

This trip requires good visibility, a 'Moderate' or better alpine avalanche forecast. The trip may be cancelled, the dates changed or relocated if conditions are not favourable.

Contingency plans if the weather is poor are:

1) Move to Saturday and Sunday;

2) A different 2 day trip such as Pelion (Crevasse Rescue training required);

3) A 1 day trip - Duffy, Mamquam (very long day)
