PRE-REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED. Please review the event details carefully, and if registration is required and you'd like to join us, you must sign up at the bottom of this page. Non-member guests must contact the leader (see Notes below) to register. If payment is required for this event, you will be expected to send your payment to the Event Leader - payable to the Alpine Club of Canada, Vancouver Section.

Attendee Screening: Attendees are Pre-Screened - Trip Leader will review your background and may contact you before accepting you on the trip.

Itinerary:

Covid: This trip will be cancelled if covid restrictions are extended. Be prepared to drive solo if other do not want non-bubble people in their car.

2 nights and 3 days in the Duffy Lake area.

The preferred location is the Caspar Creek area. If the conditions are not suitable for this area another will be selected.

All participants must have completed AST1 or better, be able to ski Black runs off piste under any conditions, have prior touring experience with good technical skills, good enough fitness for 3 consecutive days.

Prior Camping experience is helpful but not required.

Please ensure you have adequate fitness to get to camp at a reasonable pace to ensure we can ski on the first day.

All participants will be screened; being first on the list does not guarantee a spot. Please describe: 1) your experience, 2) if you have a winter-ready vehicle and can drive, 3) will you take passengers, 4) general fitness.


Required Items to Bring:
AT/ split board gear, avi gear, overnight gear, food for 3 days, stoves
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Notes:
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
